1. What are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites store on your device (computer, tablet or mobile) when you visit them. They are used to remember your preferences, improve your browsing experience and, in some cases, for tracking and advertising.

Local storage (localStorage) is a similar technology that allows storing data in your browser, but unlike cookies, this data is not automatically sent to the server with each request.

2. What Technologies Do We Use?

On mainlab.es and its associated services we use only localStorage to store preferences. We do NOT use:

• ❌ Tracking cookies
• ❌ Advertising cookies
• ❌ Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, etc.)
• ❌ Third-party advertising cookies

* "Permanent" means it remains until you manually delete it or clear your browser data.

4. Legal Basis

The local storage we use is considered technical or strictly necessary to provide the service requested by the user (remembering display preferences). According to applicable regulations, this type of storage does not require prior consent.

5. Third-Party Services

Some of our services load resources from third parties that may set their own cookies:

5.1. Google Fonts

Some pages load fonts from Google Fonts. Google may collect information according to their privacy policy.

5.2. YouTube (in Don't Be Influenced)

When analyzing YouTube videos, a connection is made to YouTube/Google servers to obtain public information. We do not embed YouTube players that could set tracking cookies.

5.3. CDN (Cloudflare)

We use Cloudflare as a security CDN. Cloudflare may set technical cookies necessary for its operation (__cf_bm). More information in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

6. How to Manage Local Storage

You can delete or block local storage from your browser settings:

Chrome

1. Menu (⋮) → Settings → Privacy and security
2. Cookies and other site data → See all site data and permissions
3. Find the site and delete the data

Firefox

1. Menu (☰) → Settings → Privacy & Security
2. Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data
3. Find the site and remove it

Safari

1. Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
2. Find the site and remove it

Edge

1. Menu (…) → Settings → Privacy, search, and services
2. Choose what to clear → Cookies and other site data

7. Why Don't We Show a Cookie Banner?

We don't show a cookie consent banner because:

• We only use technical/preference storage
• We don't use tracking or analytics cookies
• We don't use advertising cookies
• The storage we use is exempt from consent under regulations

This transparency policy clearly informs about our usage, complying with the duty of information.

8. Updates

This policy may be updated to reflect changes in our practices. The last update date is indicated at the beginning of the document.
